PIZZA RECEIPE:
Ingredients:
Dough:
- 2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
- 1 ½ cups warm water (about 110°F/45°C)
- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Pizza Sauce:
- 1 can (14-ounce) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Toppings (customize to your liking):
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Pepperoni slices
- Sliced bell peppers
- Sliced mushrooms
- Sliced onions
- Fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
1. Make the Pizza Dough:
- In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Stir until a soft dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
2. Make the Pizza Sauce:
- In a saucepan, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer the sauce for 15-20 minutes until it thickens. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Remove from heat and let it cool.
3. Prepare the Pizza:
- Preheat your oven to the highest temperature (usually around 500°F/260°C).
- Punch down the risen dough and divide it into two equal portions. Roll out each portion into a circle or rectangle (depending on your preference) on a floured surface.
- Transfer the rolled dough onto a lightly greased pizza pan or baking sheet.
4. Assemble the Pizza:
- Spread a generous amount of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
- Add your desired toppings such as pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, and fresh basil.
5. Bake the Pizza:
- Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
6. Serve and Enjoy:
